This section explains how DingSong uses this AI music, and what to keep in mind when you make your own music with the prompts.

  1. DingSong's background music was generated with Lyria, Google's AI music model, through the Gemini API (Google AI Studio) on a paid plan. DingSong uses it in accordance with Google's terms and policies.
  2. DingSong provides only example BGM prompts, and presents samples of the music made with these prompts. It does not offer downloads.
  3. According to the current views of the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office and the U.S. Copyright Office, music generated entirely by AI is not protected by copyright law. DingSong does not, and cannot, claim copyright in this music, so it does not, and cannot, license anyone to use it. Rules differ from country to country. Please judge according to the law where you are.
  4. Every track contains Google's SynthID invisible digital watermark, and Google's tools can detect that the music was made by Google AI. Under Google's terms and policies, you may not:
    1. claim that this music was created entirely by humans in order to deceive others;
    2. use it for purposes that are illegal, infringe others' rights (including intellectual property rights), or violate Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy.
    DingSong also asks that you:
    1. not use it to train or develop AI or machine learning models;
    2. not resell the audio files on their own, or put them on music streaming platforms.
  5. DingSong's content is provided "as is." There is no guarantee that AI-generated music is not similar to others' works or does not infringe the rights of third parties. How you use the music you make in Gemini with these prompts is your own decision and your own responsibility (Google's terms and policies say the same). DingSong accepts no legal liability and no liability for damages of any kind.
  6. DingSong reserves the right to change these terms, or to stop providing any content, at any time.

Other things to know

  • Google doesn't claim ownership of this music, but it may also make the same or similar music for other people. So these tracks can't be used to claim "only I can use this."
  • The SynthID watermark is used only so people can check that the music was made by AI. It doesn't change the sound.
  • For music you make yourself in Gemini, whether to label it as "AI-generated" when you post it on YouTube or other platforms depends on each platform's rules. The rules may change, so please check the latest information (for example, YouTube's help page).
  • Music made entirely by AI isn't protected by copyright (see point 3 above) and carries an AI watermark (such as SynthID). So we advise you not to register any music made entirely by AI, including DingSong's tracks and the music you make in Gemini with these prompts, in YouTube's Content ID (YouTube's system that automatically matches music to catch infringement), and not to submit it to a collecting society or performing rights organization (such as ASCAP or BMI). DingSong doesn't register its tracks either.
  • Making music in Gemini requires a Google account for ages 18 and up. DingSong's pages don't connect to Google's AI; you need to copy the prompt and paste it into Gemini yourself.

How this music is made

  • For every track, DingSong first writes what to tell the AI (style, instruments, speed, and use), and then Lyria, Google's AI music model, makes it. That text is the "prompt" that comes with each track.
  • Once a track is made, an AI listens to it first. If voices slipped in or the requested instruments can't be heard, we make it again. If a track that didn't ask for synths has electronic sounds that shouldn't be there, we make that one again too. Finally, a person listens to every track one by one before it goes up.
  • Every track is set to the same loudness. Some are short pieces of about 30 seconds, and others are long versions of about 3 minutes.
