Our principles

DingSong is everyone's music station. It's completely free, has no ads, and doesn't track you.

Completely free

  • Everything on DingSong is free. No sign-up. No app needed.
  • Only AI songwriting is done separately, in Google's Gemini, with a Google account that belongs to someone 18 or older. Free accounts work too. If you hit the limit, wait for it to reset and try again; you don't have to pay. DingSong doesn't charge any fees.

No ads. No tracking.

  • DingSong has no ads and no traffic analytics or tracking scripts, and it doesn't use cookies.
  • No login and no membership, and we don't ask you for your email address or any other personal information. Details are on the Privacy page.

Your voice stays only on your device

Your privacy matters. Recording, processing, and making ringtones all happen in your browser. DingSong has no server that accepts files, so we don't, and can't, receive or keep your voice.

Where the music comes from

  • Background music and the songs in Music Stories: DingSong made them with Lyria, Google's AI music model, and every page clearly says they were made by AI. The full music videos are on YouTube, with a link at the end of every storybook.
  • Music Class songs: we only include melodies whose copyright term has expired. Lyrics are checked separately, song by song, and any still under copyright are left out. The sources for each song are in Music Class song sources.
  • Sheet music: we only link to sites with public domain or openly licensed scores, library scores you can view online, or legitimately sold sheet music, so you can view or download it yourself. DingSong doesn't download sheet music for you or keep copies.
  • Sources and licenses are on the Licenses & credits page.

How AI songwriting works

  • DingSong's pages don't connect to Google's AI. AI Songwriting only helps you put what you want to say into words. You press "Copy," then open Gemini yourself and paste it. Gemini makes the song.
  • To make music with Gemini, you need a Google account that belongs to someone 18 or older. Under 18? Ask a parent or guardian to make it with you on their account.
  • For songs you make yourself in Gemini, whether you can share them publicly, post them on YouTube, or use them commercially depends on Google's terms and policies. DingSong doesn't interpret them for Google, and they may change, so check the latest Google Terms of Service and Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy.
  • The tracks in DingSong's BGM Prompt Library play only on the web page and can't be downloaded. Each one comes with the prompt used to make it, so you can make your own track in Gemini (see Terms and disclaimer in the BGM Prompt Library).
  • DingSong is not affiliated with Google.
